, but one of Britain\'s most love classic comedy series of the 1970s \'Bless This House\'. The episode I recall was the one with the infamous poltergeist and the way in which Sid couldn\'t pronounce the word properly saying \"plastergeest\". Always in my memory is his \'dirty\' laugh. Being born in 1965, I was brought up in the era of the 1970s classics but Bless This House was my favourite and I will always regard Sid as the King of Classic British Comedy. I remember the night he died and his death being reported on the BBC Nine o\'clock News. He went to a better place and I\'m sure he\'s up there now entertaining all the angels and saints. God has also taken a breather and is sitting back having a laugh. Thanks Sid!!!! A fantastic website too. Keep up the good work!

Hi Paul
Sadly the master tapes for the ATV sitcom were destroyed during the 1960's.
